Early history
at the turn of the century, most of the window frames were made of wood, but that was about to change. "We started to mass produce in the first part of the 20th century, John said Pyatt. "We have extended the United States and have been recognized as Detroit Steel Products. Most car factories there used Crittall windows, "he adds.
"In 1926, the plant Braintree was short of workers, so the village was built in Silver End, close. There were about 500 houses, shops and a school to meet the workers and employees being brought to the plant. "
The windows were not only popular for domestic properties. When it was built, the Tower of London was equipped with metal windows, and when they were later replaced by Crittall windows.
